Michael T. Miller

Michael T. Miller is a Professor of Higher Education and Dean of the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas. He has served as the editor of three different academic journals, and has been recognized for his research, winning the AIR Director’s Paper Award, the Mortimer Award for Research on Shared Governance, and recently was awarded the Council for the Study of Community Colleges Senior Scholar Award. He has also been recognized for his teaching, winning the Arkansas Student Government Outstanding Teaching Award. His international work includes participation in the World Bank funding of postsecondary reform in Hungary, vocational technical education assessment in Jamaica, serving as a Bi-National Fulbright Commission Scholar in Egypt, and lecturing on higher education administration and management in China and Spain. He holds a bachelors degree in Political Science from Southern Illinois University, a masters degree in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University, and a doctorate of education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
