Paramita Sarkar

Dr. Paramita Sarkar completed her Ph.D. research at the IT Department, AKCSIT, University of Calcutta, India, under the joint supervision of Professor Dr. Rituparna Chaki (University of Calcutta) and Professor Dr. Agostino Cortesi (Ca' Foscari University, Italy). Her thesis, titled , focused on developing optimization strategies for resource management. She holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology (In-House), India, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Kalyani University, India. Dr. Sarkar is currently a full-time Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at JIS University. Prior to this, she served for 17 years as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, India, amassing a total of 18.5 years of teaching experience. As part of her professional growth, she participated in the prestigious “Biometrics-Intelligent Solution” training under the SPINAKER project at Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, gaining valuable expertise in biometrics and intelligent systems during a two-month on-site program. Her research interests include designing resource scheduling optimization algorithms, developing intelligent search methods, and applying AI and machine learning techniques to detect plant diseases. Dr. Sarkar seeks challenging roles as an AI/ML Engineer and resource optimizer in cloud computing, leveraging her expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and algorithm development. Proficient in literature reviews, research methodologies, and statistical software, she is dedicated to advancing knowledge in her field through innovative research and impactful scientific contributions.
