Zain Rafique

|Zain Rafique - Contributing Author|Dr. Zain Rafique is an Assistant Professor at the National University of Modern Languages, H-9, Islamabad, Pakistan where he has been since 2017. He received Ph.D. in Public Policy & Planning in Universiti Sains Malaysia, 2014-2018, M.Phil. in Government & Public Policy at National Defence University, Islamabad, 2009-2011, B.S (Hons) in Economics & Politics, in Forman Christian College University (FCCU), Lahore, 2005-2009. His research interests span both local governance and participatory development. Much of his work has been on improving the understanding, design, and performance of Local Governance, Public value, New Public Governance, Citizen Participation, and Civic Engagement. In particular, his future research interests are shaped by the emerging trend from New Public Management towards New Public Governance. His research agenda focuses on the question of how participatory governance (including all stakeholders) and new public governance can make public sector organizations more efficient. Dr. Rafique is the author of over 20 papers on local governance, participatory development, and community engagement.
