Biophilic design is an approach to architecture that seeks to connect building occupants more closely to nature. Biophilic designed buildings incorporate things like natural lighting and ventilation, natural landscape features and other elements for creating a more productive and healthy built environment for people. This book includes a variety of topics relevant to the field which are not normally included in a single volume which is available in the marketplace at the current time. The target audience for this proposed publication is scholar-practitioners who need a single-volume reference for biophilic architecture. The secondary audience is graduate students of architecture who require the same type of reference book.
