His main areas of research are focused on human adaptive and friendly mechatronics, autonomous navigation, service robots and humanitarian demining, telecooperation, distributed teleoperation and collaborative control, flexible automation, wireless sensor networks and ambient intelligence, biomimetic and biomedical robots.
