Editor/Author Biographies
Paolo Beneventi, graduated from DAMS in Bologna in 1980 with a thesis on children theater, from 1981 to 1985, he worked in the group of animazione / visual communication L’Alfabeto of Brescia, that collaborates with "Giocare con l'arte" of Bruno Munari. Later he went on as a freelancer, deepening above all with children and young people for projects coming from the rich vein of animazione teatrale. In present times, since childhood, we not only see, touch, smell, feel, taste the world, but we know it playing with easy, powerful, and somewhat magical tools who are everywhere among us. Beneventi leads workshops in which kids of all ages experience storytelling and writing books, the natural and human environments, the active use of technology for knowledge, communication, production, and networking, in collaboration with schools, libraries and agencies operating in the society, during truly multimedia experiences (body + image + text + sound + video). Over the years, he published articles and books on theater and body expression, environment, technology in education and communication, as well as fiction books for children. He’s also a media educator and video maker.
