Abstract

This study investigates the landscape of halal talent development in Malaysia, a global leader in the halal industry. It aims to examine the role of government agencies, training institutions, and industry stakeholders in cultivating a skilled halal workforce. Employing a descriptive research methodology, the study analyses existing policies, programs, and initiatives related to halal talent development. The article also identifies key challenges faced by the halal talent development ecosystem and provided with recommendations for enhancing halal talent development. The findings highlight the achievements of Malaysia in establishing a comprehensive halal ecosystem while identifying key challenges such as standardization, resource allocation, and industry-academia collaboration. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for continued investment in halal talent development to sustain Malaysia's position as a global halal hub.
