Abstract

Nowadays, Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) have become the most demanded technology for reducing pollution emissions and fuel saving in the transport sector. The demand growth rate for electric vehicles is rapidly increasing due to zero emissions of carbon dioxide from electric vehicles. The main challenges with HEVs are their limited battery capacity and difficulty in deciding when and where to charge EVs. The Concerned EVs charging problem and range anxieties still make customers uneasy about purchasing an electric vehicle but new advancements in EVs try to resolve the above problems and improve EVs range. The effectiveness of HEVs relies on energy management strategies (EMSs). A big challenge for the researcher is to develop suitable EMSs for HEVs, to enhance the range of EVs and increase their performance and battery life.
