Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a field of study that focuses on the development and theory of computer systems that are capable of doing tasks that would normally need the intelligence of humans. Language translation, decision-making, and speech recognition are only a few of the tasks that, in general, need the use of a human brain to be performed properly. In the context of content delivery, an OTT platform (also known as over the top) is a platform that does not provide video via traditional cable or receivers. Video and audio distribution via the internet without the involvement of a multiple system operator (MSO) is referred to as online video and audio distribution. When it comes to the administration and transmission of information, there are several options. Viewers are able to access it from any place at any time and save it for later viewing convenience.

Introduction

The phrase “artificial intelligence” (AI) refers to computer systems or other technologies that are capable of learning and adapting as a consequence of repeated contact with their respective contexts. Examples of AI include IBM's Watson and Google's DeepMind. To put it simply, this is how artificial intelligence (AI) is described at its most fundamental level. Within the field of artificial intelligence, one may find a bewildering variety of different options. Several examples, like the ones that follow, serve to demonstrate this point:

  • Chatbots use artificial intelligence (AI) to swiftly evaluate user inquiries and provide relevant responses. Chatbots are able to provide an improved experience all around as a result of this.

  • Intelligent assistants make use of artificial intelligence in order to collect pertinent details from a large array of unstructured sources in order to build schedules that are more efficient.

  • Recommendation engines are able to analyse the viewing habits of consumers and then provide recommendations to those customers based on the information obtained from the analysis. The purpose of this method is to assist consumers in discovering new programs that they would like viewing depending on the preferences that the customers have already established.

To a far larger degree than any particular form or function, what makes artificial intelligence is the process that is followed, as well as the potential for extremely powerful thinking and the processing of data. This is in addition to the fact that artificial intelligence can learn. In spite of the widespread perception that this is the case, the end objective of artificial intelligence (AI) is not to eliminate the need for human participation in whatever it is that is being done. The ultimate objective is to see a significant growth, not only in the skills of individuals, but also in the results produced by such individuals. Any business that acquires it will quickly realize that it is a very valuable asset due to the reasons stated above.

OTT platforms need to strengthen their data management methods and widen the breadth of their capabilities in order to provide customers with a more satisfactory experience. This will allow the companies to provide customers with a better overall product. AI and ML may be able to bridge these gaps and give audiences with a better and more engaging experience by using techniques to personalize content and services based on a variety of data. This would allow AI and ML to create a better and more interactive experience for audiences. This would make it possible for AI and ML to offer a viewing experience that is superior and more participatory for the audience. It is possible that as a direct result of this, artificial intelligence will be able to assist in the collection of deep content insights, the discovery of high intensity moments, and the acceleration of editorial processes at a much quicker rate, which may result in a significant shift in the user experience that is provided by OTT platforms. As a result of this, it is essential to educate oneself on artificial intelligence (AI) as well as over-the-top (OTT) platforms, both of which are now helpful and commonly used (Archit Shah, 2022).

When you make use of a service that is known as an over-the-top platform, often abbreviated as OTT for short, you give yourself the ability to acquire video and live stream feeds on any device that is linked to the internet. OTT services are also known as over-the-top platforms. When you use the service, you will have access to this capability for the first time. You will be able to directly distribute video content to viewers as well as monetise that material without making any use of a third-party platform in any manner, shape, or form. This will be possible for you. With the assistance of this, you will be able to do both of these tasks successfully.

The many live streaming and video-on-demand alternatives of a high quality that are made accessible to consumers are likely a significant contributing factor to the general attractiveness of these platforms. Live events often are presented in their most fundamental form, which is the broadcasting of them (VoD). In addition to this, they provide a large variety of other services, such as instant messaging, audio streaming, VoIP, and a great many more services that are comparable to these (Adam Enfroy, 2022).
