Abstract

The mountain forests of the Mostovsky district of the Krasnodar Territory are distinguished by their natural uniqueness and diversity. These forests have significant recreational potential due to their landscape diversity, rich flora and fauna, as well as climatic conditions attractive for recreation. The purpose of this study is to assess the recreational potential of the mountain forests of the Mostovsky district using geoinformation systems (GIS). In modern conditions of changing climatic and environmental factors, as well as in conditions of increasing anthropogenic pressure on natural systems, the task of effective management and rational use of mountain forests is of particular importance. At the same time, the mountain forests of the Mostovsky district are of particular interest, since their recreational potential has not been sufficiently studied, and the possibilities of their use for recreation and tourism have not yet been fully realized. GIS technologies open up new possibilities.
