Abstract

This chapter explores the potential of blockchain technology to improve security and privacy in social media environments. Current challenges include data integrity, transparency issues, and privacy measures' effectiveness. The proposed approach introduces a novel framework for decentralized data management and enhanced privacy controls, enabling immutable data storage and secure user verification processes. The results show a substantial improvement in data security and privacy, outperforming current methods in terms of resistance to data tampering and unauthorized access.
