Abstract

Cybersecurity plays a vital role in the field of information technology. When discussing cyber security, the main issue that arises, is the increasing occurrence of cybercrimes. Governments and organizations are employing various strategies to reduce the occurrence of these cybercrimes. Despite the implementation of many remedies, the issue of cyber security continues to pose a serious challenge for several persons. There is a notable upsurge in the global proliferation of the internet. This chapter focuses mostly on the methodologies and principles associated with cyber security. Furthermore, it highlights the latest techniques employed in detecting and preventing cyber-attacks.
