Enhancing Internet Security With Deep Learning and Steganography

Abstract

Steganography, a covert communication technique, is important in ensuring secure data transmission over the internet. Traditional steganography methods face challenges in terms of robustness and security. In recent years, the integration of deep learning has revolutionized steganography, enabling advances in hiding information in digital media. This chapter highlights the synergy between deep learning and steganography for enhancing internet security. This chapter starts with the basic concepts of steganography and deep learning, explores new applications of deep learning in steganography, and evaluates its effectiveness using real-world case studies. Additionally, the authors discuss adversarial attacks and defences, metrics, and performance analysis.
