Abstract

This study investigates how technology can be used to better educate and train adults in South African cities. It takes a look at how digital tools like e-learning platforms, mobile apps, and online resources might help meet the specific needs of older students in metropolitan areas while also providing them with new options. To fully grasp how technology affects the results of adult education, this chapter explores the literature, analyses case studies, and uses qualitative research methods. This study's findings add to the existing body of information and can be used to better tailor adult education programmes to the needs of urban South Africans by those responsible for their development and implementation.

Significance Of The Study

Many groups could benefit from our investigation into how technology might be used to improve adult education and skill development in South Africa's metropolitan centres.

This study shows both the upsides and the drawbacks of using technology in teaching adults. It provides policymakers with evidence-based ideas for crafting policies that effectively incorporate technology to meet the special demands of urban adult students.
