Abstract

When AI writing tools burst into the scene, in the beginning it was often regarded as a tool to enhance the writing abilities of writers. Since then, it has gone through several rounds of upgrade and has even risen in rank to be regarded as the co-author of student papers. Although AI generated texts have eased the writing process to a certain degree, one can also find their own voices lost in the process. Writing Centers provide an avenue for writers to find their voice by engaging in dialogue with tutors. This chapter looks at how our voice can be maintained in the writing process with the integration of AI tools, without abandoning the human support.
