Integrated Model of Islamic Digital Banking for Financial Inclusion Based on MAQASID Al-Shariah

Abstract

The advancement of the current technology has totally changed the banking and financial services. Financial institution has been urged to react to the changes in order to provide a better service and product to the customers as well as to the underserved people. Throughout the development of digital banking, it will help many people to access the banking services in improving their socio-economic. However, the model of Shariah compliant digital banking is compulsory in order to achieve Maqasid al-Shariah for financial inclusion. The objective of this study is aimed to develop integrated model of Islamic digital banking based on Maqasid al-Shariah for financial Inclusion. Research methodology that has been applied is qualitative approach in which this research is conducted verification model with the experts. The selection of the experts is based on digital banking field and Shariah background. A general finding shows that, the integrated model is viable to be implemented in line with the current development of digital era.
