Abstract

Wildfires pose a global threat to ecosystems, necessitating advanced detection and monitoring systems. The integration of IoT technologies is crucial due to its real-time data collection and analysis capabilities. This chapter addresses the need for IoT-based fire detection and monitoring systems in ecologically sensitive areas, focusing on early detection and rapid response mechanisms. The proposed methodology uses IoT sensors, cloud-based analytics, and machine learning algorithms to enhance fire detection accuracy and response efficiency. Results show a 95% accuracy within 5 minutes of ignition, demonstrating superior response time and predictive accuracy compared to traditional methods.
