Abstract

The beginning of human history witnessed innovation has propelled human advancement. The subject artificial intelligence has gained popularity lately. Scholars, decision-makers, and consumers are now more aware of the advantages and necessity of artificial intelligence (AI) because of astounding news reports about self-driving cars, creative robots, and learning algorithms. The author analyses the evaluation of AI technology, the current research landscape, and the legal issues it raises, especially in the areas of IP rights and AI personhood. It examines the IP theories supporting AI creativity and the implications of the present IP framework. The perspectives of US and the EU have been analysed as they further investigate the future of AI authorship. The constraints of data for AI development have been covered showing the need for high quality data and the potential legal modifications to address copyright and privacy issues. Lastly, the author suggests directions for developing authorship rights and provides insights into the legal personality of AI authors.
