Abstract

The Chapter investigates the transition from RPA to IPA and its revolutionary impact on businesses in the digital age. The study carefully analyzes the key challenges and opportunities that have accompanied the adoption of IPA in organizational workflows. The report exploits a detailed literature review to establish major trends and business issues when using IPA systems. It addresses the organizational, technological, and human-centric challenges that relate to leadership matters, resistance to change management, and gaps in skills for handling automation technologies. The findings suggest that although IPA can greatly improve operational efficiency through automated routine tasks, it poses challenges in role redefinition at work, in higher-order talent enhancement for employees, and in countering opposition to automation. However, for IPA adopting AI technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing will provide new ways to manage complex activities and streamline data-driven decision-making.
