Abstract

This chapter aims to discuss the individualized approach to antiviral therapy targeting genetic, environmental, and lifestyle issues. It talks about how pharmacogenomics, AI, and computational modeling help identify better drug targets and reduce the odds of resistance. These comprise genetic screening in personalized medicine, biomarkers, and clinical trials in therapeutics. It also examines infection control, the axis between the gut microbiome and the host, and probiotics as novel biotherapeutics. Positioned under the umbrella of a one-health concept, it entails concierge wellness nutrition and precision medicine to optimize therapeutic interventions, combat antiviral resistance, and advance patient satisfaction. The prospects provided are intended to open new avenues in the composition of antiviral drugs.
