This chapter presents data gathered by a Kosovo-related survey that was conducted by the authors with the aid of Artan Rogova, Research Fellow at the EU's Group for Legal and Political Studies. The survey was conducted between 17th of March and 16th of May 2012 and managed to gather 70 responses. All the participants were employees of the aforementioned EU's group, and therefore having university education. The authors present statistical graphics in order to visualise the quantitative data. Additionally, statistical analysis is being conducted (using one by one variable analysis) in order to identify trends and associations between different groups in the same country.

Are you aware of the global phenomenon of Internet regulation? (Kosovo Survey)
A question of major significance was “Are you aware of the global phenomenon of Internet regulation?,” to which most of the respondents stated that they know the basics (52.2 percent), 23.2 percent that they are well-informed. Only 7.2 percent stated they just heard about it, and another 17.4 percent that they do not know anything.

Regarding the means of their information, it is worth-mentioning that 82.8 percent read about it online, 37.9 percent via television broadcasts, and 34.5 percent through “Newspapers.”

Concerning the source of information, 74.1 percent of the respondents stated mass media, 43.1 percent “Researchers and scientists,” 22.4 percent “Individuals, and only 1.7 percent that they were informed thanks to “Government statements.”

Another interesting question was “Have you ever faced online censorship in the past?.” 39.1 percent stated “Yes, at least once,” 40.6 percent “No,” and 20.3 percent “I do not know.”

Of those who answered “Yes, at least once” to the previous question, 19.5 percent stated that they were using the Internet in Kosovo and they were trying to visit a Kosovo’s website, 29.3 percent stated that they were using the Internet in Kosovo and they were trying to visit a foreign website, while many of the respondents (39 percent) stated “I do not know.”

The last part of this questionnaire focused on the possibility of an Internet Regulation System implementation in Kosovo, and under which conditions.
