Abstract

In today's competitive world, cybersecurity drive organization's corporate strategy in safeguarding corporate assets in digital realm. Identity and Access Management (IAM) is core framework within cybersecurity realm. It consists of business processes, policies, and IT tools that facilitate the management of digital identities to ensure only authorized users have access to data they need to do their job also called as principal of least privilege. IAM is not only limited to digital identity of humans, it also manage identities of devices and applications within enterprise. Companies deploying IAM framework have greater control of user access thereby reducing risk of internal and external data breaches. IAM bring operational efficiency to various error prone manual activities associated with access control management within an organization. IAM enable organizations to comply with government regulations, providing data on demand to government auditors and regulators.
