Abstract

Bioinformatics focuses in the use of computer technology to process biological information, particularly genetic data. However, bioinformatics has revolutionized the way scientists analyze such data by addressing the challenges of biodiversity conservation and ecological research. As a result, ecoinformatics emerges from the intersection between ecological research and big data science, enabling more effective analysis, monitoring, and management of biodiversity. Adaptive management and dynamic conservation planning is now relying on the use of real-time data, citizen science and public engagement in conservation biology. The future of biodiversity conservation through ecoinformatics holds enormous potential as advanced computational tools, big data, and innovative technologies continue to evolve, providing more integrated data-management solutions and effective analysis of natural phenomena.
