Abstract

This study explores tourist perception and acceptance of waste-to-energy (WtE) innovations in the tourism industry. Utilizing surveys and interviews, the research aims to gauge tourists' awareness, understanding, and attitudes towards WtE technologies and their implementation in tourist destinations. It examines how eco-friendly practices, including WtE, influence tourists' destination choices and overall satisfaction. The study investigates the potential of WtE initiatives to enhance the image and sustainability of tourist locations. Findings reveal that tourists are increasingly supportive of sustainable practices and are more likely to choose destinations that prioritize environmental responsibility. The research highlights the importance of effective communication and education strategies to improve tourists' knowledge and acceptance of WtE technologies. This study contributes to the understanding of the role of WtE innovations in shaping sustainable tourism practices.
