Abstract
This chapter discuss the relationship between South Africa and Russia. The researcher starts by describing the development of relations between the African National Congress with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) during the Cold War. This research is based on a systematic review of the subject in relation to memory and archives. This was supplemented by interviews conducted with Official of Affairs and the National Archives. The researcher stated that countries should engage in cultural diplomacy to promote collection and preservation of archives materials.
