HIPAA provide several guidelines and regulations designed to protect individuals and their medical information. Not only does it cover privacy issues, but also a person’s right access to all of his or her medical information. Most important to this discussion is the need for organizations to meet the Privacy Rule stipulations in regards to protecting data.
