The International Journal of Applied Research in Bioinformatics (IJARB) collects the most significant research and latest practices in computational approaches to bioinformatics. In addition to original research papers in bioinformatics, this journal emphasizes software and tools that exploit techniques to address biological problems, as well as databases that contain useful biomedical data generated in wet and dry labs. Mission and Scope

The mission of the International Journal of Applied Research in Bioinformatics (IJARB) is to increase awareness of interesting and challenging biomedical problems and to inspire new solutions which can be translated into further biological and clinical studies. IJARB is aimed at researchers in the areas of bioinformatics, knowledge discovery, machine learning, and data structure, as well as practitioners in the life sciences industry. The journal encompasses discovery notes that report newly found biological discoveries using computational techniques and includes reviews and tutorials on relevant computational and experimental techniques for translational research and knowledge discovery in life sciences.

Editor(s)-in-Chief Biography

Mehdi Khosrow-Pour, D.B.A., received his Doctorate in Business Administration from the Nova Southeastern University (Florida, USA). Dr. Khosrow-Pour taught undergraduate and graduate information system courses at the Pennsylvania State University – Harrisburg for almost 20 years. He is currently Executive Editor at IGI Global (www.igi-global.com). He also serves as Executive Director of the Information Resources Management Association (IRMA) (www.irma-international.org) and Executive Director of the World Forgotten Children’s Foundation (www.world-forgotten-children.org). He is the author/editor of more than 100 books in information technology management. He is also currently the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Green Computing, International Journal of Library and Information Services, International Journal of E-Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and International Journal of Natural Computing Research, and is also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Information Resources Management Journal, Journal of Electronic Commerce in Organizations, Journal of Cases on Information Technology, and the Journal of Information Technology Research, and has authored more than 50 articles published in various conference proceedings and scholarly journals.

Submission

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their original empirical research articles 3,000–5,000 words in length. Interested authors must consult the journal’s guidelines for manuscript submissions at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis by no fewer than 3 members of the journal’s Editorial Review Board and 1 Associate Editor. Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers and at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
