Mission and Scope

The mission of the International Journal of Computer Vision and Image Processing (IJCVIP) is to provide the worldwide community with a platform for the latest research and advances in computer vision technologies, multimedia applications, and data image processes. IJCVIP focuses on interdisciplinary methods and state-of-the-art research among various disciplines related to the science and technology of machines. This journal solicits reviews on benchmarks, evaluations of systems, tools, and significant research activities around the globe.

Editor(s)-in-Chief Biography

Jose Garcia-Rodriguez received his PhD degree, with specialization in Computer Vision and Neural Networks, from the University of Alicante (Spain). He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Technology of the University of Alicante. His research areas of interest include: computer vision, computational intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, robotics, man-machine interfaces, ambient intelligence, computational chemistry, and parallel and multicore architectures. He has authored +100 publications in journals, books and top conferences and revised papers for several journals, chairing special sessions in top conferences like WCCI, IJCNN or IWANN, organizing special issues in journals like Neural Processing Letters, and participating in program committees of several conferences including IJCNN, ICRA, ICANN, IWANN, KES, ICDP and many others. He is also member of international research organizations like INNS, IEICE and European Networks of Excellence HIPEAC and EuCog.
