In this paper, the authors extend the concept of a t-intuitionistic fuzzy set to PMS-subalgebras of PMS-algebras. The authors define the t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra of a PMS-algebra and show that any intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra of a PMS-algebra is a t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra. The authors provide the condition for an intuitionistic fuzzy set in a PMS-algebra to be a t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra. The authors use their (α,β) level cuts to characterize the t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebras of PMS-algebra. The authors investigate whether the homomorphic images and inverse images of t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebras are also t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebras. Furthermore, the authors show that the homomorphic images and inverse images of the nonempty (α,β) level cuts of the t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebras of a PMS-algebra are again PMS-subalgebras of a PMS-algebra. Finally, the authors show that the Cartesian product of the t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebras of a PMS-algebra is itself a t-intuitionistic fuzzy PMS-subalgebra and characterize it in terms of its (α,β) level cuts.

This work investigates an important topic of energy and water security (water-energy nexus). For this purpose, Water-Energy Management Strategy (W-EMS) for a standalone water desalination system powered by PV-Wind source is designed. The proposed W-EMS is based on fuzzy logic. In this context, authors focus on the design phase of the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) through which three design methods are described and analyzed. The influence of FIS design on W-EMS performance is highlighted. First, it is shown that based on the designer's knowledge, the handmade-FIS can offer good performance for the W-EMS. Then, the water-energy management is formulated as an optimization problem. Therefore, genetic algorithm is used to optimize the FIS design to reduce iterative hand-tuning trials. Furthermore, the design of the fuzzy W-EMS can be addressed by a data-driven approach as a third step. This method shows its good performance in terms of water production and energy efficiency compared to the designed FISs by the two previous methods (handmade tuning and genetic algorithm).

The Entropy measure of an intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) plays a significant role in decision making sciences, for instance, medical diagnosis, pattern recognition, criminal investigation, etc. The inadequate nature of an entropy measure may lead to some invalid results. Therefore, it is significant to use an efficient entropy measure for studying various decision-making problems under IFS environment. This paper first proposes a novel similarity measure for IFS. Based on the proposed similarity measure, an advanced entropy measure is defined with a different axiomatic approach. This axiomatic approach allows us to measure an IFS's entropy with the help of a similarity measure. To show the efficiency of the proposed similarity measure, a comparative study is performed with the existing similarity measures. Some structural linguistic variables are taken as examples to show the validity and consistency of the proposed entropy measure along with the existing entropy measures. Finally, based on the proposed entropy measure, a multi-criteria decision-making problem is performed.

In this paper, a general type-2 fuzzy controller is proposed. The proposed general type-2 fuzzy controller is based on α-plane representation, which converts the centroid of general type-2 fuzzy sets to centroids of several interval type-2 fuzzy sets. Also, the mathematical expression of general type-2 fuzzy controller is derived by fuzzy product operate and NT type reduction. By the mathematical expression, the relation between general type-2 fuzzy controller output with parameter of triangular secondary membership function is discussed. Finally, the control performances of proposed general type-2 fuzzy controller are compared with conventional PID controller, tradition type-1 fuzzy controller, and interval type-2 fuzzy controller. Furthermore, to show the effective and practical of the proposed controller, a nonlinear inverted pendulum system is tested. The simulation results show that general type-2 fuzzy controller achieves better control efforts than other compared controllers.

Due to the development of intelligent decision-making, social network group decision making (SNGDM) has become increasingly valued. Self-persistence is a significant topic in SNGDM problems, while it is ignored in most existing research. Besides, existing opinion evolution models often ignore high-order interactions because they assume individuals only communicate with their friends or neighbors. With these issues in mind, the authors propose a multi-step interaction opinion dynamics model to manage the consensus in SNGDM problem with self-persistence evolution. Given the decision makers' social network information, the centrality degree, interaction strength, and high-order interactions are combined to construct a social influence network. Inspired by the social influence model, the authors develop an opinion dynamic consensus model which also describes the evolution of self-persistence in a group of decision makers. Finally, an example and detailed simulation experiment are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed consensus model.
