The use of ehealth and mhealth interventions is on the rise. Their wide reach and the advantages they present in tailoring to specific needs, overcoming barriers of time and distance, and facilitating engagement, interactivity, and collaboration give them a significant potential for learning and behavioral change.
This book aims to showcase design exemplars of ehealth and mheath education interventions with varying levels of emphasis on the design elements, stemming from the academic backgrounds of the authors and the contexts of the interventions.
Preceding the exemplars are four chapters that provide theoretical grounding and conceptual guidance to facilitate the understanding of the different approaches used in the chapters that follow.
The book targets health professionals, instructional designers, educators, professors, and researchers working in the field of instructional design and technology, public health, medicine, and other health-related fields, in addition to providing design insights to students specializing in the fields of instructional design, health promotion, and health professional education.
