Editor/Author Biographies

Suha R. Tamim is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Instruction and Teacher Education at the University of South Carolina, USA. She earned her Doctorate in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Memphis, Tennessee, USA, where she taught courses in instructional design. She earned her Master of Public Health from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon where she taught courses in health education and worked on several health education projects. Her research interests revolve around systems thinking and the design of learning environments, with a focus on constructivist, online, and health-related environments. She is an active member of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology, previously serving as president of the Systems Thinking and Change division. She is also active in the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate, previously chairing the Dissertation in Practice Awards committee. She currently serves as a co-editor in chief for Impacting Education: Journal of Transforming Professional Practice. She is also co-editor of the book Systems Thinking for Instructional Designers: Catalyzing Organizational Change.
