Nikolaos Koumartzis is a PhD graduate from the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his BSc in Computer Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Ma in Publications from University of the Arts London, and MSc in Strategic Product Design from International Hellenic University. His research interests include Internet regulation and online cencorship, ancient Greek musical instruments, 3d design and 3d analysis. He has authored seven mainstream books with various Greek publishers (in Greek and in English), while his researches were published in journals (such as the International Journal of E-Politics, Computer Technology and Application, First Monday Journal, Journal of New Music Research etc.) and being presented in conferences (such as the First International Congress on the Internet, Trolling and Addiction (ITA15), Hellenic Conference of Acoustics, Sixteenth IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC11), Euro-NF International Workshop on Traffic and Congestion Control for the Future Internet etc.). He is the co-founder of a series of companies focusing on different cultural aspect such as cultural events, ancient music, book publishing etc. Currently, he works as an Art Director at Luthieros Music Instruments and SEIKILO Museum.
Andreas Veglis is Professor, head of the Media Informatics Lab at the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his BSc in Physics, MSc in Electronics and Communications, and PhD in Computer Science, all from Aristotle University. His research interests include information technology in journalism, new media, course support environments, data journalism, open data and distance learning. He has published in books and international journals like Journal of Applied Journalism & Media Studies, Journal of Greek Media & Culture, Digital Journalism, Studies in Media and Communication, Computers in Human Behavior, International Journal of Monitoring and Surveillance Technologies Research, International Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Information Technology, International Journal of Computers and Communications, International Journal of E-Politics, Journalism & Mass Communication Educator, International Communication Gazette, Publishing Research Quarterly, International Journal of Electronic Governance, Journalism, Austral Comunicación. He is the author or co-author of 12 books, he has published 70 papers on scientific journals and he has presented 110 papers in international and national Conferences. Professor Veglis has been involved in 25 national and international research projects.
