Dr. Justin Zhang is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems and Program Director for the Master of Science in Business Analytics at the University of North Florida. His research explores the nexus of technology, innovation strategy, and sustainable development, examining how transformative tools—such as AI, blockchain, and advanced analytics—reshape R&D ecosystems, accelerate green technology adoption, and drive environmentally conscious entrepreneurship. With over 250 peer-reviewed articles published in leading journals, Dr. Zhang's work provides critical insights into sustainable innovation pathways for SMEs, digital platforms for circular economy collaboration, and technology-enabled strategies for reducing carbon footprints in industrial ecosystems. His research demonstrates how emerging technologies can simultaneously drive competitive advantage and address pressing sustainability challenges. As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Information Management (ABDC-A, JCR Q1) and the International Journal of R&D Innovation Strategy, and as an ABET Commissioner, he fosters rigorous, interdisciplinary scholarship that bridges theoretical advancements with practical applications for sustainable innovation. Dr. Zhang's leadership helps shape research agendas at the intersection of technological progress and environmental stewardship.
