Introduction
Big data analytics havw become an important topic in recent years with regards to classification, graph mining and recommendation in the community of database, data mining and machine learning. Even though great progress has been made throughout the years on data analytic models, algorithms, infrastructures and applications, current approaches do not satisfy the requirements of big data analytics tasks in real scenarios in models, scalability and efficiency. To adapt for real applications, novel models are in demand. To achieve high scalability, more scalable infrastructures and scable algorithms on these infrastructures are to be designed. For efficiency issues, linear or sublinear algorithms are to be developed, especially algorithms for big data with time constraints. Due to complex models in real applications, efficiency and scalable big data techniques for complex analytic tasks have become the focus of the research community.

Objective
This special journal issue focuses on models, infrastructures, systems and algorithms for big data analytics. Since big data analytics became a hot topic in the community, many techniques have been proposed. In this special issue, we seek for solutions and applications for big data analytics in high novelty, as well as new visions of big data analytics. The major goals of this special issue are to provide a snapshot of state-of-the-art techniques and applications for big data analytics, and to give references to big data communitiescommunities related to data-driven research.

Introduction
The aim of the special issue is to present the most advanced and modern approach in the field of Natural Computing with a link to scientific research and its practical implementation. The Natural Computation is a human-designed computing inspired by nature that has touched all the domains of life. Nature has provided us a number ways where we can design and develop innovative products. In many domains, nature-inspired approach has shattered through obstacles and provides best capabilities of computing.

Objective
In the past few decades there has been an interesting rise in the application of Natural Computing from theory, experiments, and applications.
