Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating factors of learning environment, technology, good behaviour, and effective communication, sports, media, problem-based case study, and psychological influence on student motivation and behaviour. The study employs secondary data based on peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, and books collected from a variety of sources such as Scopus, WoS, J-Store, EBSCO, ProQuest, etc. between 1982 and 2022. The 103 articles have been selected based on the keywords which related to study. The results evidenced that the mediating factors have a significant positive impact on student motivation and behaviour. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the mediating factors and student motivation and behaviour. The findings of this study have implications for educational institutions, policy makers, and educators in creating effective learning environments that can enhance student motivation and behaviour.

Introduction

In recent years, there has been a growing concern about the declining motivation and engagement levels of students in educational settings. The literature suggests that various factors, such as the learning environment, technology, good motivational behavior and effective communication, sports, media, problem-based learning, case studies, and psychological factors, can have a significant impact on student motivation and behavior. However, there is a need for a comprehensive analysis of the existing research to identify the best practices for promoting student engagement, motivation, and achievement.

This study aims to fill this gap by conducting a systematic review and analysis of the current research on the impact of various factors on student motivation and behavior. To achieve this aim, we collected and analyzed 100 articles from various sources, including Scopus, Web of Science, Jstore, EBSco, and ProQuest. The articles were selected based on their relevance to the keywords such as learning environment, technology, good motivational behavior and effective communication, sports, media, problem-based learning, case studies, and psychological factors. The selected articles were analyzed using a qualitative research approach, with a focus on identifying the key findings and recommendations for promoting student motivation and behavior. The study findings are expected to provide insights into the best practices for promoting student engagement, motivation, and achievement in educational settings. Additionally, the study's recommendations may inform the development of evidence-based interventions and policies aimed at improving student motivation and behavior. Overall, this study is a crucial step towards addressing the challenge of declining student motivation and engagement, and contributing to the improvement of the educational system. School/College is a significant period in the lives of young adults as it sets the foundation for their future careers and personal growth. The behaviour of college students can greatly impact their academic performance and overall college experience. This research article will explore the various forms of motivation that can improve the behaviour of college students in a positive manner.

The Different Forms of Motivation: There are various forms of motivation that can positively impact the behaviour of college students. Intrinsic motivation refers to the internal drive to engage in a particular activity for the sake of personal satisfaction and enjoyment. College students who are intrinsically motivated are more likely to have a positive attitude towards their studies, leading to improved behaviour. Extrinsic motivation, on the other hand, is external and based on external factors such as rewards or punishments. For college students, extrinsic motivation can come in the form of grades, scholarships, or recognition. When students are motivated by the potential for rewards or fear of consequences, it can lead to improved behaviour and better academic performance. This can lead to improved study habits, increased motivation, and better academic performance.

The Importance of Social Support: Social support plays a crucial role in motivating college students to improve their behaviour. When students feel supported by their peers, instructors, and families, they are more likely to feel confident and motivated to achieve their goals. This can lead to improved academic performance and better behaviour in college. Student behaviour has a significant impact on academic performance and overall student experience. As education evolves and adapts to the changing world, it is important to understand the different forms of motivation that can improve student behaviour in the year 2023. This research article will explore the latest trends and advances in student motivation and their impact on student behaviour.

The Impact of Technology on Student Motivation: The advancements in technology have brought about significant changes in the way students are motivated to improve their behaviour. According to a study by Kim and Lee (2020), the use of digital tools such as educational games, simulations, and interactive learning experiences has been shown to increase student engagement and motivation. These tools not only make learning more enjoyable, but also provide instant feedback and recognition, which can be a strong motivator for students.
