Abstract
This chapter aims to study the role of information technology in public sector organizations. There is little evidence that success in implementing IT reforms leads to more rapid and inclusive economics. The public sector is considered to be a set of organizations with the mission to serve citizens. Furthermore, this chapter is going to come up with the answer to an essential question: should information technology rely on stable functions of the public sector? The chapter focuses on the new advanced technology adopted by many public sectors like artificial intelligence analytics, blockchain, the internet of things, and cloud computing and virtualization.

Automation of Network Services for the Future Internet
Software-defined networking (SDN) is an architecture that decouples the network control and forwarding functions enabling the network control to become directly programmable and the underlying infrastructure to be abstracted for applications and network services.

Security and Privacy Issues of Big Data
Software Defined Networking allows network administrators to manage network services through the decoupling of the traffic sending decisions (control) system from the underlying (data) traffic forwarding systems. Some advantages of using SDN are decreasing the maintenance cost and fostering innovation on the networking infrastructure.
