Abstract

This chapter examines the challenges of inclusivity and globalization in academic research, particularly in STEM disciplines. This work critically examines underrepresentation, assesses its implications for research priorities, and proposes policy recommendations, case studies, and strategies to enhance inclusivity. With an optimistic outlook on the future, the chapter underscores the significance of inclusivity in influencing research agendas. It emphasizes the critical nature of deconstructing obstacles and actively fostering diversity, envisioning a future in which the scientific community is genuinely inclusive, forward-thinking, and dedicated to solving worldwide issues. It encapsulates a comprehensive journey towards a more inclusive and equitable STEM research environment.
