Introduction

Emergence of new technologies and the industrial revolution transform businesses to a new socio-digital era. In the new era, businesses are concern about data related to customer needs, opinions, behaviors, and preferences which are crucial for business decision making. Behavior analytics provides a solution to classify and model consumer behavior, predict future consumer behavior, and recommend appropriate product based on consumer preferences. Various techniques such as opinion mining, behavioral and social media analytics using machine learning, deep learning, ensemble learning, emotional intelligence, etc. are involved to track and analyze consumer behavior change towards using the products. This book provides a broad multidisciplinary research and practice focusing on social and behavioral analytics to track consumer behavior change and improve decision making among businesses.

Objective

This book aims to focus on concepts, theories, and analytical techniques to track consumer behavior change for the sake of better decision making among businesses. With the industrial revolution to a new socio-digital era, businesses are concern about data related to customer needs, opinions, behaviors, and preferences which are crucial for business decision making. Therefore, this book can provides an overview for businesses to track consumer behavior change for better decision making.

Target Audience

Students, lecturers, and scholars in the field of computer sciences, data science, business informatics, information system, business and management as well as libraries are the main audience for this book. This book can be used for teaching and learning purposes in the universities. In addition, different businesses can benefit from this book to get an overview of concepts, theories, techniques, and analytics of data concerning customer needs, opinions, behavior, and preferences which are crucial for decision making.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before October 27, 2021, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by November 10, 2021 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by January 9, 2022, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Consumer Behavior Change and Data Analytics in the Socio-Digital Era. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
