Introduction

Nowadays, the high-tech agriculture is an agriculture that is applied in combination with emerging technologies and smart approaches for satisfying the higher and higher needs of society and ensuring sustainable agricultural development in the century 21st. In order to improve efficiency and create a breakthrough in productivity and quality of agricultural products for consumers in the world, agriculture needs planting, harvesting, transporting, delivering, selling, also known as global supply chain.
In the agriculture version 4.0, advanced AI-equipped IoT technologies brings the promise of core benefits for developing high-tech agriculture in global market and particular in clean and safe agricultural products post covid-19 pandemic period.

In the era of AI technologies, smart IoT applications can verify the seedling quality, predict crop weather, and detect pest infestations to provide recommendations to agricultural producers can adjust plans or schedules for taking care of their farms.

Additional, smart technologies could be able to qualify the quality of product, detect defective product, verify the original of the product, measure the compound composition of products and propose comparison hypothesis with competitive products on quality that support exporters / importers can adapt sales price as well as focus on consumer segments to improve market competitiveness.

With this book, you’ll be able to implement the IoT-equipped solutions using models and methodologies along with covering advanced IoT-equipped technologies to support planting activities, to manage harvest tasks, to predict outcomes, to forecast risks, to make informed decisions that facilitate improving in the various production and supply chain activities in the High-tech Agriculture ecosystem.

Objective

The book mainly focused on the opportunities and challenges for AI-powered management tools and IoT-equipped techniques for High-tech Agriculture ecosystem. The fundamental concepts of including advanced methodologies, models, techniques, technologies, and applications with the concepts of real-time supporting systems.
To meet the climate change in the current and in the future, high-tech agriculture 4.0 also need portable real-time systems, low-budget, energy-efficient, and popular use for smart supply chains, smart plant healthcare systems, smart irrigation systems, smart harvest technologies, and smart product processing systems.
This book would be a great collection of AI-supported IoT solutions for overall concepts, models, designs, innovations, developments, and implementation of the high-tech agricultural development and management ecosystem.
