Over the last decade, the fintech sector has rapidly transformed the way people manage their money, make transactions, and access financial services. Fintech has enabled people to conduct financial transactions faster, more efficiently, and at a lower cost than traditional financial institutions. With this increased efficiency, the fintech industry has grown to be one of the most lucrative sectors in the global economy. As the industry continues to grow, it is important to examine the potential of fintech to promote sustainability and social responsibility. Financial institutions used to primarily focus on making profits, with sustainability in financial services not being widely accepted until recently (Dashdevs, 2022). However, Fintech has the potential to not only increase efficiency and accessibility in the financial sector but also to promote financial inclusion and reduce economic disparities. By harnessing the power of technology, fintech can promote sustainable practices in other sectors of the economy and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This book aims to provide readers with a deeper understanding of how fintech can be used to build a greener, more sustainable future for finance, and to inspire and empower individuals and organizations to take action in this important area.
