Recently, the demand for satellite image analysis increased with the recent advancement in various research areas, e.g., improvements in remote sensing image resolution, object recognition ideas, and deep learning techniques. Articles report new trends in object detection using remote sensing images, such as multi-temporal scene classifications, semantic segmentation, multi-resolution, and large-scale optical image analysis. Also, the demand for exploring the black box in land surface analysis and object recognition has increased due to climate change, global security concerns, border monitoring issues, and terrorist attacks. The recent advancement in deep learning techniques and remote sensing technologies encourages the readers to explore these black box areas.


In such circumstances, this book aims to focus on Deep Cognitive Modelling in remote sensing image processing to address the challenges created due to the black boxes. Also, it seeks to collect interesting pieces of research on modeling the georeferencing of objects and optimizing the existing deep learning model while reducing complexity in processing high-resolution remote sensing images.

Target Audience

The target audience of this book will be composed of professionals and researchers working in the field of computer sciences, e.g. cognitive modeling, cognitive algorithm, mathematical modeling in cognitive and image processing, remote sensing, remote sensing images analysis, satellite images, computer vision, climate change monitoring technology, and object detection.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before February 4, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by February 6, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by March 3, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Deep Cognitive Modelling in Remote Sensing Image Processing. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
