Introduction

The thirst for knowledge is as old as civilization itself, and humans have made great efforts to preserve it throughout history. The invention of printing had an enormous impact beyond what anyone could have imagined. Books have remained unfailing companions to lonely individuals, and printed materials can never be replaced. However, with the advent of digitization, obtaining information and acquiring knowledge have become a little easier for scholars who have a passion for study and research. In today's world of knowledge explosion, judicious use of resources is essential for research. Modern technology helps researchers select the right materials for their study, providing great advantages to them.

Objective

This book will provide theoretical frameworks and empirical research findings on the strategic role of trust in different levels of the information and knowledge society. It is written for professionals who wish to enhance their understanding of trust in the global economy, networks, organizations, teams, work groups, information systems, and at the individual level as actors in networked environments.

Target Audience

The book will cater to professionals and researchers working in the field of information and knowledge management in various disciplines such as library, information and communication sciences, administrative sciences and management, education, adult education, sociology, computer science, and information technology. Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before May 5, 2024, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by May 15, 2024 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by June 16, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Exploring Digital Metrics in Academic Libraries. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
