Dirk Burkhardt

Dirk Burkhardt holds a diploma in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz and works since 2008 as researcher at the Fraunhofer IGD. He was involved in various national and European projects, where he developed systems for knowledge representation and visualization. In 2009 he overtook the responsibility Semantic-Editing Annotation in the THESEUS Core-Technology Project Innovative User Interfaces and Visualizations and the lead of the European RURALeNTER project. He is currently the deputy of the work package for advanced visualization in the European FUPOL project. His research interests are focused on concepts and technologies for process-oriented visualization for the semantic web and policy modeling.
