Shefali Saluja

Shefali Saluja is working as an Assistant Professor in Chitkara University holding Doctoral degree in Corporate Governance. She has conducted research on “Detection and Prevention of Corporate Frauds” in her PhD studies. She holds MBA degree in specialization of financial markets from Chitkara University and has graduated from Punjab University with Economics Honours. With total experience of 11 years. Out of which 4 years in Ernst & Young Pvt Ltd and 7 years in Chitkara University, Shefali has been an expert in the field of Ethics and Governance. During her experience in Ernst & Young Pvt Ltd -Risk Management, she has conducted internal auditing risk mitigations for various clients and received extra mile client service awards. She has successfully completed online course on “Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination” from West Virginia University and delivered workshops on “Fraud Examination of Corporate Frauds” to various academicians and professionals in the field of Fraud Landscape. Her current job position includes various teaching and administrative related responsibilities in Chitkara university. She is managing NAAC Accreditation and AACSB Internal accreditation process for Chitkara Business School. Shefali has been continuously invited in many teaching opportunities for teaching a module on “Failing corporates” at Emden University, Germany. She was also invited by Telkom University, Indonesia and Providence University Taiwan to deliver online session on “Fraud Investigation”. She has also delivered a module on “Business in Asia” to the students of Mondragon University, Spain. Recently, in 2023 she was invited by MSME association in Indonesia to train almost 100 MSMEs in Cirebon, Indonesia on “Business Opportunities’ a community project.She is the member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), USA and has been doing volunteer work for them since 2021. She is also visiting faculty with LINC Education, Australia. She is also handling Micro finance and Social Activities with United Nations. The activities are also live on YouTube. She is currently mentoring 2 professionals as PhD scholars under her supervision in the field of Corporate Fraud Detection and Prevention- Private and Public Sector. She has total of 13 copyrights and 4 granted patents as intellectual contributions.
