Editor/Author Biographies
Jared Sagini Keengwe is a Professor of Education at the University of North Dakota (UND). He has published extensively in refereed journals and scholarly books. He is the editor-in-chief of two IGI Global Book Series: Advances in Higher Education and Professional Development (AHEPD) and Advances in Early Childhood and K-12 Education (AECKE). His work was honored with the UND Foundation/McDermott Faculty Award for Excellence in Academic Advising. He was a recipient of the North Dakota Spirit Faculty Achievement Award in recognition of significant contributions in teaching, research, and service. At the national level, Prof. Sagini was a recipient of the International Institute of Education Fellowship under the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) – a scholar fellowship program funded by a grant from Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY) for educational projects at African higher education institutions. He was also a recipient of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) Visiting Fellowship.

Benard Omenge Nyatuka is an Associate Professor and Dean, School of Education and Human Resource Development, Kisii University, Kenya. He obtained Doctorate in Comparative Education (University of South Africa, 2015), M.Ed and B.Ed degrees from Egerton (2008) and Kenyatta (1997) Universities in Kenya, respectively. Previously, he was a lecturer at Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology, and served at the Ministry of Education as a Senior Quality Assurance and Standards Officer in Kenya. He has a decade of teaching experience in Geography and Mathematics at the secondary school cycle of education. Furthermore, he has authored several articles in peer reviewed journals and similar publication platforms, as well as chapters in scholarly books in the fields of education and development. Courtesy of UNICEF, he served as the technical advisor in the development of community service learning guidelines and materials at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development to facilitate implementation of Competency-Based Education in the country between 2021 and 2022. His research interests include Comparative and International Education, ethics in higher education, global citizenship education, school-family-community partnerships, as well as education for sustainable development.
