Educators from the US provide 14 chapters on how coaches can conduct evaluations and facilitate professional development experiences in literacy programs from preschool through 12th grade. The chapters focus on literacy program evaluation, including tools, methods, and processes for evaluation, and instructional coaching based on teacher formative assessment and input; collaborative and professional learning in program development, including professional learning communities and the role of coaches; and teacher leadership aspects, with discussion of the use of technology, teacher research, the role of teacher self-efficacy, and teacher preparation for leadership.
