Jorge Luis García-Alcaraz is a full-time researcher of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez. He received an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Colima Technology Institute (Mexico), a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Ciudad Juarez Technology Institute (Mexico), and a Postdoc from University of La Rioja (Spain). His main research areas are related to Multicriteria decision-making applied to manufacturing, production process modeling, and statistical inference. He is founding member of the Mexican Society of Operation Research and active member in the Mexican Academy of Industrial Engineering. Dr. Garcia is a National Researcher recognized by the National Council of Science & Technology of Mexico (CONACYT) and is working with group research from Colombia, Spain, and the Dominican Republic. He is author/coauthor in around 120 journals, international conferences, and congress.
George Leal Jamil is a professor of several post-graduation courses from Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has two post-doctoral titles (from Universidade do Porto, Portugal - market intelligence and from Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena, Spain - Entrepreneurship). He has a PhD in Information Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Master’s degree in Computer Science (UFMG) and undergraduated in Electric Engineering (UFMG). He got a pos-doctorate certificate at FLUP – Communication School at University of Porto, Portugal, in 2014. He wrote more than 30 books in the information technology and strategic management areas, with more than 10 works in books as co-author and Editor. He also works as a business consultant and as an active ecosystem actor in business innovation and startups front in several countries. His main research interests are information systems management, strategy, knowledge management, software engineering, marketing, and IT adoption in business contexts.
Liliana Avelar-Sosa has a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, a master’s degree in industrial sciences, a PhD in Engineering Sciences. She is a National Researcher level 1 recognized by National Council of Science and Technology in Mexico, expert in logistics and supply chain aspects applied to manufacturing companies. She has experience in maquiladora industry and, currently she has published papers in JCR journals as a first author, she has attended international and national congress and conferences. Currently she is an APICS member in the El Paso / Juarez chapter.
Antonio Briones Peñalver in recent years has focused on entrepreneurs, business projects creation and management, inter-company cooperation, strategic alliances, and, in general, business collaboration relationships, international cooperation projects, innovation firms, and security and defence strategies in the European Union. He has been a researcher for the Portugal International Centre (CIEO), European Accredited Doctor, and for directing two doctoral theses and more than a dozen research works together with publications of international reference articles and books. Peñalver has developed several publications and has taken part in several Projects for International Development Cooperation between the European Union and Central America, sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
