This model allows the author the option to publish their paper as open access or as a standard submission through the eEditorial DiscoveryTM online submission system. Once the peer-review process is completed, and the manuscript is accepted, authors who chose open access pay an article processing fee to make their article openly available. Once published as open access, the copyright remains solely with the author of the paper. IGI Global also offers 30+ full Gold OA journals.

Receive a Sustainable Source of Open Access Funding Through IGI Global’s OA Fee Waiver Initiative

IGI Global’s OA Fee Waiver (Read and Publish) Initiative provides an additional source of OA funding to institutions that invest in IGI Global e-Collections. Under this initiative, when a library invests in the IGI Global e-Book Collection, e-Journals Collection, or a subset of these e-Collections, IGI Global will match the library’s investment with a fund of equal value to go toward subsidizing the OA article processing charges (APCs) and OA book processing charges (BPCs) for their students, faculty, and staff at that institution when their work is submitted and accepted under OA (following peer review) into an IGI Global journal or book. Be sure to recommend or invest in the e-Collections to take advantage of this initiative.
