Abstract
In this part of the book, the importance of virtual museums and their place in the conservation of cultural heritage and cultural heritage tourism will be emphasized. In this part, first, the concept of museum, the emergence and development of virtual museums, the importance of museums and virtual museums in the conservation and cultural heritage tourism and transfer of cultural heritage to future generations, the importance of virtual museums in terms of education will be conceptually explained. The increasing importance of virtual museums during the Covid-19 pandemic will also be mentioned by giving examples around the world. Within the context of the current study, students attending Aksaray University (Turkey) will be made to visit virtual museums of various museums around Turkey and the world. After the visit, the Virtual Museum Satisfaction Scale will be administered to the students. The data to be collected through the scale will be evaluated by using descriptive analysis and difference analyses applied in relation to different variables.
