While many unanswered questions still loom about trending issues in traditional vs. open access publishing (such as those on processing charges, copyright, funding opportunities, and indexing capability), Nova Southeastern University's Alvin Sherman Library will host their
8th annual Power Publishing Day to enable researchers and the academic community to seek answers to their publishing questions on the most pressing topics of today from the publishers themselves (IGI Global, Elsevier, Sage, Taylor & Francis, and more), as well as researchers and NSU faculty. This free event will be hosted on
January 26th, 2023 (in-person and virtual-only options) for those interested in academic publishing in general and publishing their research under OA.
Attendees Will Have the Opportunity to Learn About:- Getting Their Research Published, Including Case Studies
- Navigating the Peer Review Process
- Publishing Initiatives for Open Access
- Strategies for Finding the Right Publisher
- And More...
IGI Global will present at Power Publishing Day at NSU for the 3rd consecutive year to further enable the conversation and understanding surrounding the OA publishing movement to better assist authors, editors, and librarians alike on how OA operates. Specific topics covered will include sharing benefits of open access, funding opportunities, converting standard work to OA, and more.
